Oshiomhole can’t be APC Chirman If APC want to remain in power Aggrieved members

They have been an internal problem in the APC mostly with some state as the National Chairman of the party is not inline with some of the doings with some of the state Governors, even from his state where he was once governor there are some two different fractions and the problem has seen some PDP members trying to decamp to the APC with the hope of something bigger in Edo State

While some of the aggrieved members of APC have revealed why Oshiomhole must resign as the party’s national chairman – APC had on Friday, November 22, held its NEC meeting in Abuja – Lawal Liman, who spoke on behalf of the aggrieved members, said there won’t be any genuine reconciliation in the party if Oshiomhole still remains the chairman The call for the resignation of Adams Oshiomhole as the national chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) took another twist on Friday, November 22, as some aggrieved members of the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) insisted that the former Edo state governor must vacate his position for the good of the part. The Cable reports that some party members had accused the national chairman of deliberately delaying the convocation of NEC meeting, asking him to convene it or step down.

streettalk27.com gathered that despite the NEC meeting which held on Friday, November 22, in Abuja, the call for his resignation was still ongoing as some of the aggrieved members want him out now.

Speaking at with the press, Lawal Liman, the chairman of Zamfara chapter of the party, who led the aggrieved NEC members, said Oshiomhole’s resignation would provide an enabling environment for genuine healing, reconciliation and the practice of true democracy within the party across the country. Liman, who is also the spokesman for APC state chairmen’s forum, alleged that Oshiomhole had usurped the powers of the party’s NEC due to his “dictatorial and despotic tendencies.” He said: “Most of the goodwill acquired by the party, by reasons of its religious adherence to the provisions of its constitution and the tenets of internal democratic practice, has taken a downturn principally due to the dictatorial and despotic tendencies of Adams Oshiomhole, who has usurped the powers of NEC. “This may have been responsible for the admonition of Mr. President, who insisted that the party organs at the state, local government and ward levels must be strengthened and accorded due respect, with regard to the powers and responsibilities conferred on them by the party’s constitution.”

Liman said the “facade conducted by Oshiomhole in the just-concluded NEC meeting left much to be desired. “He (Oshiomhole) completely ignored Mr President’s advice and defied all known rules for meetings by precluding contributions from members and ending the meeting abruptly, without achieving anything. This is most unfortunate and undesirable. “Arising from the foregoing and having regards to the huge responsibilities bestowed on us as officers of the party and in the overriding interest of our members, we are left with no option than to demand that Oshiomhole resigns his position as national chairman,” he said.

The crisis in Edo will be brought under control. I’ve mandated the National Chairman to put his home in order and ensure that the Governor who has served one term is supported to serve his second. Where there are grievances, I’ve also spoken with the Governor to give room for reconciliation so that we don’t give PDP advantage in the state we already have control~President Mohammadu Buhari
