Lionel Messi was on beast mode for Barcelona against Real Valladolid

If you have not watched Leo, do yourself a favour and make it happen before he retires.

The Barcelona legend puts on classical displays at the Camp Nou most weeks and he was at it again against Real Valladolid on Tuesday night.

Messi provided an assist that was simply out of this planet for Arturo Vidal just before the half-hour mark and then scored the 50th free-kick of his illustrious career five minutes later. He then produced a sumptuous nutmeg shortly afterwards to delight the Camp Nou crowd.

Barcelona took an early lead when Clement Lenglet popped up with a rare goal in the second minute of the match.

However, Valladolid got themselves back on level terms through Kiko Olivas in the 15th minute.

But Barça inspired by Messi, who masterminded his side’s second and third goals of the evening as he provided an inch-perfect pass for Vidal to latch on to as Barça re-took the lead…

And then banged in another unstoppable free-kick…

Is there a better free-kick taker on the planet?

The Los Blancos captain wasn’t done yet as he humiliated a number of players from Óscar Plano, Real Valladolid’s No. 10, with a cheeky nutmeg… to Sergi Guardiola…

It’s like he’s playing a totally different sport to everybody else at times.

Messi then continued his masterclass into the second half, scoring another excellent goal to make it 4-1…

He then provided another gorgeous assist for Suarez to make it 5-1…

An outrageous individual performance. Make the most of the GOAT while you still can.
