The tearful nurse noted in the video that she is an ER ICU nurse currently in New York working a rapid response for COVID-19.

On April 10, 2020, she posted a video on social media in tears saying she had a very rough day at work. Schmall said that she walks in a room and there’s a dead body there.

“I just feel there is so much anyone can take. I’m tired of walking into rooms, and your patients are dead,” she said amid tears.

The emergency care nurse added that she was ”tired of calling families and telling them that news.”

While sobbing, Schmall said she feels so much sadness for her fellow nurses, sisters and brothers that have lost their lives taking care of people.

“If you have ever felt any time would be appropriate to have compassion for each other, right now is the time,” Schmall added.
