    Breaking: Yahaya Bello Wins Kogi State Governorship election

    Yahaya Bello, candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the just concluded Kogi State Gubernatorial elections, had on Monday been declared the winner of the Kogi elections which took place on Saturday.

    Bello had actually gathered a total of 406,222 votes way above his opponent Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 189,704 votes to emerge second.

    Professor Ibrahim Umar, Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, who was INEC’s Returning Officer for the election stated that Bello had been declared winner, having scored the highest number of votes during the poll conducted on Saturday.

    Umar said the total number of cancelled is 149,576 and that the margin of lead is 216,518.
